The challenge

By fall 2026, the trees at this Vaughan community had started dropping in earnest. The lawn beneath them, beside a paved path and a bench residents use, was covered in fallen leaves from edge to edge, with a thicker drift piled against the base of the main tree.

Leaves like that do not stay put. They blow onto the path, get wet and slippery, and the layer on the grass blocks light and holds moisture, which is how thin, yellow patches and snow mould start by spring.

Our approach

Goats Landscaping cleared the whole lawn, not just the obvious drift: the open grass, the pile at the base of the tree, and the edge along the path and the bench, where leaves collect and get tracked onto the pavers.

With the trees still dropping, the aim for this visit was to get the lawn back to clean, green grass going into the heavier weeks of the season.

Cleared the leaves across the open lawn under the trees.
Cleared the drift piled against the base of the tree.
Cleaned up the lawn edge along the paved path and around the bench.
Removed the leaves from the lawn, leaving no piles behind.
